Systems Innovation: Breaking Barriers To Large Scale Change
Fri, April 1, 2011; 09:00 - 10:30
For social entrepreneurs, innovation is about developing creative solutions to seemingly intractable systemic challenges. Numerous barriers exist that reinforce the system’s status quo, including patent and regulatory restrictions, long-held beliefs and behaviours, and lack of infrastructure among others. This session features three different perspectives on systems innovation, and explores ways that new approaches, technologies and business models can help social entrepreneurs break through to large scale change.
